Ingredients

  • ½ tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 2 cloves Fresh Garlic
  • 1 cup Yellow Onion, diced, (about 1 medium onion)
  • 22 oz 93% Ground Lean Beef
  • 1 cup No Salt Added Tomato Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Sweet & Spicy Mustard
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 tsp Hot Sauce
  • 1 tsp Red Pepper Flake
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • ¼ tsp Salt

Directions

1.) Heat oil in a large skillet and add onions and garlic to the pan when hot. Cook the onions and garlic, stirring frequently, until they begin to soften, about 3 minutes.’
2.) Add the ground beef to the pan, breaking it up and mixing it in with the garlic and onions. Cook for about 5 minutes, until the meat is just about cooked, and broken into smaller pieces.
3.) Next add the remaining ingredients: tomato sauce, mustard, Worcestershire, hot sauce, red pepper, salt, and pepper. Stir everything together until well combined and then cover with a lid and allow to simmer for 10 minutes, stirring every few minutes to prevent burning.
4.) Remove the sloppy joe meat from the heat and serve on your bun of choice.
